Collection of essays and legal documents
A collection of a number of essays with different writers and scribes. Some parts are devoted to the explanation of different types of marriage and divorce. In between the lines, there are a number of contracts and settlements, including lease, and sale settlements, but most of them are marriage contracts and divorce settlements. Dates of these contracts are mostly in 1840s. The first date is 13 January 1845 and the last date is 31 May 1893.

Divorce settlement between Nush Afarin Khanum (daughter of the late Sadiq Khan) with her husband Aqa Hasan Shari‘atmadar (the local religious notable); the setllement covers Nushafarin Khanum's mahr and alimony and her other rights. All of the clothes and other belongings, worth 75 tumans, were received and and repossessed. Because of the mutually agreed divorce, her husband gave Mirza Asad Allah power of attorney to execute the divorce based on the divorce contract. Marriage and divorce contracts of Shahrbanu and Qasim, 1903
Marriage and divorce contracts of Shahrbanu, daughter of Mashhadi ‘Ali, and Qasim, son of Mashhadi Haydar. The mahr was thirty tumans to buy goldware, copperware, felt, bedding from Isfahan, a rug, silk and European chintz clothes, and some property. The groom settled with his mother over copperware, felt, beddings, set of European chintz clothes, and part of the property. Later, he settled a part of the mentioned items with his father. On January 9, 1905, Shahrbanu settled her mahr with Qasim for one hundred dinars and one charik [unit of weight] of wheat in order to get a divorce.

Marriage contract of Shirin Jan and Ghulam‘ali, 1858
Marriage contract of Shirin Jan, daughter of Mirza the tailor, and Ghulam‘ali, ghulam [servant/slave] of Haji ‘Abd Allah (son of Haji Kalb‘ali), dated July 23, 1858. The mahr is eight tumans plus one-sixth of a house in the Shams Abad neighborhood of Khuzan. A note declares that Haji ‘Abd Allah transferred the ownership of one-sixth of the house to Ghulam‘ali. On verso, dated August 24, 1866: Shirin Jan settled her mahr with Haji Muhammad Baqir Sultan, son of Haji Kalb‘ali from Khuzan, for forty rupees. Aqa ‘Ali Asghar transferred all his properties, including his house and carpets, to his daughter, Bibi Khadijah, before his death. Therefore, ‘Ali Asghar’s divorced wife, who is the daughter of ‘Ali ‘Askar, has no rights to his belongings.

Settlement between Bihjat Khanum, daughter of Sayyid Muhammad, and Tahmasb Khan, son of the late ‘Ali Mirza, over waiving the two hundred and seventy tumans owed by Tahmasb Khan in order to get a divorce and receive twenty tumans as the settlement fee.

Settlement between the mother of Sahib Sultan, daughter of the late Darvish Qanbar, and Ghulam Riza, son of the late Darvish Husayn, exchanging her mahr and her debts from her husband for seven tumans. Haj Sayyid Riza, legal representative of Sahib Sultan's mother, was fully informed of this settlement.

Settlement between ʻIffat Khanum, daughter of Haji Muhammad ʻAli and Karbalayi Husayn Tabrizi regarding the sixty tumans mahr. Karbalayi Husayn agrees to pay two tumans each month to her ex-wife and if he stops paying her, he should pay the rest of mahr in cash.
